On Saturday, August 23, MDIS Dushanbe hosted an event organised by Koinoti Nav and Vazifa at MDIS Dushanbe campus. The event focused on sharing knowledge about leadership and featured four invited speakers from various industries: Firuza Safarova, Director of IT Run, a programming school; Andy Tan Kien Chiang, Dean of MDIS Dushanbe, Marie Vetorazi, Head of Marketing at NETS; and Gulanor Atobek, Chairwoman of Alif Bank. 

The event was attended by over 50 participants mainly aged between 25 to 35. MDISD also took the opportunity to promote its programmes. and the Dean, Andy Tan Kien Chiang, delivered a short lecture on Future-Ready Skills: Staying Relevant and Increasing Your Competitiveness.

Through an interactive online quiz, the Dean was able to break the ice and actively engage with participants. The session concluded with a 20-minute Q&A, during which Professor Mukhtorov Zaynidin and Dean Andy Tan Kien Chiang addressed questions on the MBA programme. Other speakers shared their insights on leadership characteristics, as well as the convergence and divergence between leaders and managers. Drawing from their own industry experiences, they shared their perspectives in a comfortable and relatable manner, which made the overall presentation unique, relaxed, and enjoyable. 

The event reflects MDIS’s mission and vision as an institute that promotes lifelong learning.
