On Friday, November 28, the Higher Diploma in IT students participated in an insightful industry visit to a leading telecommunications company, Tcell Dushanbe headquarters, where they were warmly received by a distinguished team of department heads and managers. The visit offered students a comprehensive understanding of the organisational structure, core business operations, and the role of technology in driving the telecom sector. The session began with a welcome by Somon Bahromzoda, Product and Project Manager, who provided an overview of the company’s strategic initiatives, ongoing projects, and the importance of innovation in meeting customer expectations.
The students were then introduced to key operational areas. Mr. Najmudin Najmudinov, Manager of Logistics and Warehouses, explained the logistics framework that supports nationwide distribution of telecom equipment. His presentation highlighted the importance of supply chain efficiency and inventory control in ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
Cybersecurity was addressed by Mr. Eraj Yogbekov, Manager of Information Security, who discussed the company’s security protocols, threat-mitigation strategies, and the critical role of safeguarding customer data. This session was particularly relevant for students specialising in IT security.
Mr. Bezhan Shirinbekov, Manager of Loyalty Development, shared insights on customer engagement strategies and the use of data analytics to enhance user experience. Meanwhile, Mr. Jahangir Rahmatov, Head of IT, elaborated on the technical infrastructure supporting the company’s operations, including system integration, software deployments, and network architecture.
Students also heard from Mr. Surush Rahmoni, Manager of External Communications, who discussed corporate communication practices and stakeholder engagement. Mr. Maruf Rabizoda, Manager of OMC NOC, introduced the Network Operations Centre, explaining real-time monitoring and network performance management.
Key administrative perspectives were offered by Ms. Zamira Shorahmatulloeva, Head of Legal and HR, who described compliance requirements, employment policies, and regulatory frameworks within the telecom industry. Additionally, Mr. Mirzod Dilshod, Chief Accountant, provided an overview of financial operations and budgeting processes. The visit concluded with insights from Mr. Farzon, Manager of B2B and B2G, who spoke about partnerships with corporate and government clients.
Overall, the industry visit offered valuable real-world exposure, deepening students’ understanding of ICT operations in a major telecommunications organisation.
