Programme Objectives
The Professional Certificate in English (PCIE) is an advanced course that is aimed at helping students acquire English language skills in preparation for a tertiary education in the English medium. The course is designed to equip and develop students with the ability to listen, speak, read and write.
The PCIE programme takes an eclectic approach towards the selection of syllabus design for each of the modules as well as the choice of language teaching/learning methods used in the classrooms.

- Designed to ensure a progressive and systematic development of the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills as well as the linguistic competencies (i.e. pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and discourse)
