The Inaugural MDIS Dushanbe International Forum: Bridging Education, Research, and Innovation.

   The inaugural International Forum titled “Expanding Scientific and Technical  Cooperation
in Higher Professional Education”
was successfully organised and held on 25 April 2026 at the MDIS Dushanbe Campus. This landmark event brought together academics, researchers, and industry practitioners to exchange knowledge and explore opportunities for international collaboration in higher education.

    The forum commenced with opening remarks by Professor Zaynidin, who highlighted the importance of strengthening global academic partnerships and fostering innovation through collaborative research and knowledge sharing. He emphasised that such platforms
are essential for advancing higher professional education in Tajikistan and aligning it with international standards.

  The programme featured both online and on-site sessions, reflecting the forum’s international scope. In the online session, Mr. Dalerjon Hojiboev presented on “International
Scientific Cooperation and Innovation in Water Education: Experience of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan.”
His presentation underscored the significance of cross-border cooperation in addressing critical issues such as water resource management through education and innovation.

      The on-site presentations began with Dr Okeoma John-Paul Okeke from the University of
Sunderland, who discussed the role of Transnational Education (TNE) in bridging the gap between higher education and labour market needs in Tajikistan. His insights highlighted how institutional alignment and skills transformation can enhance graduate employability.

     This was followed by Mr. Olim Alimov, who presented an analysis of impact investing, focusing on risk and performance in public stock markets. His research provided valuable
perspectives on financial decision-making and investment strategies.

    Mr. Andy Tan from MDIS Dushanbe concluded the presentation segment with a discussion on international collaboration between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Singapore, emphasising the role of education partnerships in fostering mutual development.

    The forum concluded with an open discussion and closing remarks, where participants engaged in meaningful dialogue and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening scientific and technical cooperation in higher education. Overall, the event marked a significant step forward in promoting international academic collaboration and knowledge
exchange in the region
