A Warm Welcome to Future Students: MDIS Dushanbe Open Day Welcomes High School Students.
On April 29, the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Dushanbe (MDISD) successfully held its Open Day, hosting a total of 46 students from Lyceum No.1 for Gifted Children in Dushanbe and Abdurahmoni Jomi Private School high school. The event served as an important platform for introducing prospective students to MDISD’s academic environment, programmes, and learning opportunities.
The Open Day was designed to provide high school students with first-hand exposure to university life at MDISD. Visiting students were warmly received by academic staff and student ambassadors, who guided them through the campus and shared insights into academic programmes and student support services.
The atmosphere throughout the day was engaging and interactive, allowing students to ask questions, explore facilities, and better understand what studying at MDISD entails.
During the event, participants were introduced to a wide range of academic programmes offered at MDISD, particularly in business management and marketing, business finance, tourism, information technology, and Cyber Security. Faculty members provided briefings on course structures, learning outcomes, and career pathways associated with each programme.
Students also gained valuable information about admission requirements, English language preparation, and student support systems designed to ensure academic success.
A key highlight of the Open Day was the interactive sessions, where students were encouraged to engage directly with MDISD staff and current students. These sessions provided real-life insights into teaching methods, classroom experiences, and academic expectations.
In addition, guided campus tours allowed visitors to explore lecture rooms, learning facilities, and student spaces, giving them a realistic view of university life at MDISD.
The participation of these high schools in this Open Day reflects MDISD’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with the wider education community. By engaging with secondary school students early, MDISD aims to support informed academic choices and encourage smooth transitions into higher education.
